The Lowellville Rockets can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They claimed a resounding 57-29 win over Jackson-Milton at home. Lowellville pushed the score to 45-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bluejays had little chance of recovering from.

Serinna Tych had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Morgan Lewis, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Jackson-Milton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Amani Yasin, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists, and Macayle Thornhill who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Thornhill hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games.

Lowellville's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Jackson-Milton, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Lowellville will play host again and welcome the Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Valley Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 17 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Jackson-Milton, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
