Football Game Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Ryle Raiders

The Eastern Eagles will challenge the Ryle Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Eastern turned things around against Paul Laurence Dunbar on Thursday. They strolled past the Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 20-6.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ryle). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 62-20 win over Dixie Heights. The Raiders have beaten the Colonels the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Colonels has come to flipping the script.

Eastern's record now sits at 2-8. As for Ryle, their record is now 7-3.

Eastern was dealt a bruising 42-14 loss at the hands of Ryle in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
