Baseball Recap: Rosamond Wins Going Away Against Lone Pine

Rosamond won the last time they faced Lone Pine and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Roadrunners put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 8-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Roadrunners.

Ayden Katuszonek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Julian Pope Herdnandez was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Diego Perez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Pope Herdnandez wasn't the only one making solid contact: Rosamond kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Rosamond's record is now 6-12. As for Lone Pine, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Rosamond will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on California City at 3:15 p.m. on the 25th. As for Lone Pine, they will take on Lee Vining at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
