Simsbury extended their winning streak to nine on Friday, bumping them up to 10-1. They put the hurt on the Conard Red Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Wolves, too.

Among those leading the charge was Emily Elias, who had 15 digs and one assist. Elias is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Simsbury was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

As for Conard, with the defeat, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since October 9, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Conard lost, don't look at Aubrey M. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and two aces. Lauren B also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Simsbury has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lewis Mills on the 29th. As for Conard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northwest Catholic on the 29th.
