Lehi has gone a perfect 3-0 against Layton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Lehi will challenge Layton at 3:30 p.m. Lehi will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Lehi is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Foothill on Saturday as Lehi made off with a 16-2 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Reese Taylor and Makenzie Grose did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Grose scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Taylor a new career-high. Brynlee Cook also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Lehi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothill only posted an OBP of .368.

Meanwhile, Layton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 9-0 to Cyprus on March 5th. The loss continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost three in a row.

Lehi pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Layton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Lehi skirted past Layton 5-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lehi since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
