Lyndon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lebo Wolves. Even though they lost, the Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Kylie Dorr was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Kendall Young was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Lyndon's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lebo, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.
Lyndon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Council Grove at 4:00 p.m. on May 2. As for Lebo, they will face off against Wabaunsee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
