Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Damien

The Centennial Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Damien Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Centennial's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Damien's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Centennial is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Culver City just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Centaurs by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Damien). They walked away with a 4-2 win over West Covina on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

They hit West Covina with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jager Gonzalez, Lucas Maga?a, Jacob Braunstein, and Von Drake Vega.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Damien, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-2.
