Menlo School beats King's Academy for their tenth straight win

Recap: Menlo School Knights vs. King's Academy Knights

The Menlo School Knights put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They walked away with a 34-21 victory over King's Academy. Given Menlo School's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 189th, while King's Academy is ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Menlo School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mikey Mcgrath, who rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Willisione Johnson was another major influence, as he rushed for 103 yards and ran in a TD.

King's Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Reid Black, who threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Kyle Welch also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Menlo School's win was their fourth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. As for King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Menlo School will head out on the road to face off against Half Moon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for King's Academy, they will be playing at home against Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
