             Moreno Valley came tearing into  Thursday's  match with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They pulled ahead with  a  22-21 photo finish over the Perris Panthers.
  Syree Matthews continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
 Another reason for the win was Moreno Valley's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was  Bryan Orozco with  two. Moreno Valley got some further help from  Andrew Delatorre: he picked up  a  sack, made six total tackles (2.0 for loss),  and defended a pass.
 Although Perris took the loss, they still got scores from  Dominic Martin,  De'Monhijja Brown,  and  Robert Jones.
 Moreno Valley pushed their record up to 6-2 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Perris,  with the  defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.
 Moreno Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  49-28  victory against Lakeside on the 25th. Perris has also  already played their next contest,  a  53-40  loss against Canyon Springs on the 25th.
