Football Recap: Beacon Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Beacon had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Highland Huskies by a score of 28-19 on Friday.

Beacon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Epps, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. Jah'Real Whitted was in the mix too, providing the Bulldogs with one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Beacon will square off against New Paltz at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland, they will take on Dover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Huskies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
