 The Camp Verde Cowboys will head out on the road to  face off against  the Phoenix Christian Cougars at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Camp Verde came tearing into  Thursday's  contest with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with  a  24-5 victory. That 19 run margin sets a new team best for Camp Verde this season.
  Aislynn Mulcaire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned run or  hits. Mulcaire has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances. Mulcaire was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with three  RBI and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  Ashlyn Durnez was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Anaya Martinez, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, while Phoenix Christian put up some  runs on Tuesday, the same  can't be said for Glendale Prep Academy. Phoenix Christian put the hurt on Glendale Prep Academy with a sharp  10-0 win. That's two games straight that Phoenix Christian has won by  exactly ten  runs.
  Berenice Fajardo was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jacky Vega, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Camp Verde's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 8-2. As for Phoenix Christian,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-4-1.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Camp Verde has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 11  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Phoenix Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 4.4. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Camp Verde took their  victory against Phoenix Christian  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  14-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Camp Verde since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
