Football Game Preview: Lake Worth Bullfrogs vs. Alvarado Indians

The Lake Worth Bullfrogs will challenge the Alvarado Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Lake Worth is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Life Waxahachie to the tune of 54-7 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bullfrogs considering their ten-point performance the contest before.

Lucas Davis was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 413 yards and five TDs. Eddie Paige was Davis' top target, picking up 85 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Lake Worth didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Life Waxahachie to a completion percentage of just 19%. The Bullfrogs weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

Meanwhile, Alvarado strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 86-13 victory over Ranchview. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 72-0.

Lake Worth better keep an eye on Demarcus Belton. He was instrumental in Alvarado's win, rushing for 146 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and one TD. Belton's longest reception was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. KJ Jenkins was another key passer, throwing for 215 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Lake Worth's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Alvarado, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Lake Worth was dealt a bruising 56-7 loss at the hands of Alvarado when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bullfrogs were down 42-0.
