Soccer Recap: Manteca Takes a Loss

Manteca's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the East Union Lancers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1026th, while the Lancers are ranked 290th).

Manteca has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18-3 record this season. As for East Union, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4-7.

Looking ahead, Manteca will square off against Central Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Union, they will challenge Oakdale at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
