Softball Recap: Gaffney Gets the Win

The Gaffney Indians were able to grind out a solid win over the Greenville Red Raiders on Friday, taking the game 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Gaffney's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Greenville, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gaffney will head out to take on Wade Hampton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gaffney's pitchers better be ready for this one: Wade Hampton has averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Greenville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mauldin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville is facing Mauldin at the right time seeing as Mauldin is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
