Basketball Recap: Frewsburg Starts Season with Win on the Road

Frewsburg had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 69-59 win over the Brocton Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Blake Weaver was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 7-for-10 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 37 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Trent Lewis, who posted ten points in addition to eight assists and five boards.

Frewsburg will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Clymer Central at 9:00 a.m. As for Brocton, they will head out to face off against Panama at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
