Basketball Recap: Brewer Takes a Loss

Brewer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Hartselle Tigers and fell 60-16. The match marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hannah Morrison was Brewer's leading scorer, having posted six points. Keylyn Stapler held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Madisyn Freeman took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Brewer's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Hartselle, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Brewer will be taking part in a tournament against Phil Campbell at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartselle, they are taking a road trip to square off against Chelsea at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
