Clearview extended their losing streak to eight on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-15 in the process. They lost 9-2 to the Firelands Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 two weeks ago.

Clearview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Alvarado, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

As for Firelands, the win got them back to even at 8-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

On Firelands' side, Garrison Lee looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Lee has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Luke Radanovich was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Bower, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearview will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Canton Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Firelands, they will head out to challenge Black River at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
