Softball Game Preview: Eldorado Eagles vs. Fairfield Mules

Eldorado hasn't had much luck against Fairfield recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will welcome the Mules at 4:30 p.m. Eldorado has given up an average of 16.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eldorado lost 19-2 to Goreville on Tuesday.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Fairfield and Norris City-Omaha-Enfield had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mules blew past the Fighting Cardinals 17-2 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Mules, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Fairfield let Kiersten Vaughan and Addy King run wild. Vaughan went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while King went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Vaughan has posted since back in April.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10.
