Softball Recap: Burkburnett Bulldogs vs. Vernon Lions
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burkburnett). Everything went their way against the Vernon Lions on Saturday as the Burkburnett Bulldogs made off with a 21-3 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Delaney Reitz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she's hit this season.
In other batting news, Lydia Duff was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She also put up a stolen base, which washer first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Smith, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
