Baseball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Platteville Hillmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hillmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 back in April.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Platteville, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-4 defeat against Dodgeville on the 15th. As for Platteville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-5 loss against River Valley on the 15th.
