Softball Recap: Dinuba Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Dinuba waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Golden West Trailblazers. That's more bragging rights for the Emperors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Neveah Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kiley Gomez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.

Gomez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Dinuba kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Dinuba's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Golden West, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Dinuba and Golden West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Dinuba will face off against Mt. Whitney at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday up 300 places (232 vs. 532). Meanwhile, Golden West (ranked 185th) will meet Selma (ranked 402nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
