Basketball Recap: Chicago Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chicago Academy can now relate to. They lost 57-35 to the Rowe-Clark Masai Lions on Monday.

Marcus Fossett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rowe-Clark, dropping a triple-double with 12 points, ten boards, and 12 assists. Those 12 assists gave Fossett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Stone, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Chicago Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Rowe-Clark, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11.

Chicago Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rowe-Clark, they will challenge Montini Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Montini Catholic will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Rowe-Clark surely won't give up without a fight.
