Mineral Ridge gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They really took it to the Lowellville Rockets for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-25 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won six in a row.

Sullivan Sandy was nothing short of spectacular: she went 10-for-15 on her way to 22 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Gilbert, who put up five points and nine assists.

Lowellville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mineral Ridge will welcome Struthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lowellville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waterloo at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
