Football Recap: Gillett Comes Up Short at Home Against Three Lakes + How To Watch

Gillett unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 20-6 to the Three Lakes Bluejays. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bluejays from their previous meeting back in August of 2021.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Clayton Borremans, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Gillett didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-0 loss against Sevastopol on the 29th. As for Three Lakes, they have also already played their next matchup, a 28-0 defeat against Niagara on the 28th.
