Soccer Game Preview: Chesapeake vs. Glen Burnie

The Chesapeake Cougars will head out to square off against the Glen Burnie Gophers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chesapeake challenged Arundel on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Wildcats, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Glen Burnie and Meade finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

Chesapeake's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. Glen Burnie's draw gives them a new season record of 3-2-2.

Chesapeake skirted past Glen Burnie 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
