It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shiloh Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the El Dorado Wildcats 24-21. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Cole Creighton was his usual excellent self, throwing for 316 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. His passing game has become a key predictor of Shiloh Christian's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. The Saints' leading receiver Zane Sluyter was Creighton's top target yet again, picking up 152 receiving yards.
Shiloh Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for El Dorado, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
