Basketball Recap: Miami-Yoder Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

While Miami-Yoder's win against Pikes Peak Christian wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles 25-23. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buffaloes.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Madison Kragel and Kylie McKnight, who each put up six points. Jessa Book held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Madison McKnight took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Despite the defeat, Pikes Peak Christian had strong showings from Bella Fletcher, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds, and Megan Ferguson, who posted four points in addition to eight boards and five steals. That's the most steals Ferguson has posted since back in December of 2023.

As for Pikes Peak Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 24-23 victory against Fountain Valley on the 28th.
