Football Recap: Rose Mellady's Menacing Defense Leads Foresthill over Madera South

Foresthill never let their opponents score on Saturday. They came out on top against the Madera South Stallions by a score of 13-0.

Foresthill can attribute much of their success to Carly Clarke, who picked up 50 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 45 yards.

Foresthill's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Rose Mellady was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks herself. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times she's played.

Foresthill's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Madera South, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Foresthill has already played their next match, a 19-6 defeat against Pioneer on the 28th. As for Madera South, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Golden Valley on the 26th.
