Volleyball Recap: North Platte Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when North Platte took on Lawson on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-1, 25-12.

Kate Barnes paced North Platte's offense, picking up two kills. Barnes got some help from Leala Day and her two assists. Rylee Perkins controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Hadley Toomay went supernova For Lawson., getting four aces and three digs. Toomay is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

North Platte's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Lawson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-2-2.

Looking ahead, North Platte will challenge East Buchanan at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Chillicothe on the 11th.
