Colin Cross leads Weir to victory over Indian Creek

The Weir Red Riders have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over Indian Creek on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Weir also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Colin Cross was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Weir's points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Stromile, who scored ten points along with five assists and four steals.

Weir's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Indian Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weir will take on Madonna at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Indian Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cambridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
