Softball Recap: Pendleton County Comes Up Short

Pendleton County fell victim to Highlands and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluebirds. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Bluebirds: they've now lost four in a row.

Pendleton County now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Pendleton County will challenge Scott County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Highlands, they will take on Ballard at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Bruins have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
