Volleyball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial lost against Plano back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.

Abigale Byrd paced Centennial's offense, picking up nine kills. Byrd got some help from Madison Victoriano and her 24 assists. Victoriano was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Plano found their leader in sophomore Bella Osborn, who had 20 digs and two assists. Osborn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Plano, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Coming up, Centennial will square off against Panther Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plano, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Wylie on the 23rd.
