Football Recap: West Hall Comes Up Short + How To Watch

West Hall lost against Jefferson back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans had to suffer through a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Dragons are ranked 19th).

Among those leading the charge was Colton Grant, who rushed for 45 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (137.5). Dalton Dye also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

West Hall has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Jefferson, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. West Hall is set to take on their familiar foe Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jefferson will square off against rival Monroe Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Dragons 11.3, the Purple Hurricanes 11.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
