Soccer Recap: Rialto Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Fontana

There's no place like home for Rialto, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Fontana Steelers 2-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jhonny Perez and Geovany Martinez scored both of Rialto's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Rialto's win bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Fontana, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Rialto will challenge Bloomington at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Fontana, they will welcome San Gorgonio at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. San Gorgonio's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
