Football Recap: Mogollon Mustangs vs. Superior Panthers        
        
		
             On Friday, Mogollon faced Superior in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mogollon Mustangs blew past the Superior Panthers 48-28. Considering the Mustangs have won eight matches by more than 19  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Mogollon was led to victory by  Brody Porter and  Quinn Tenney.  Porter gained 130 total yards and three touchdowns, while  Tenney threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Porter also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass.  Kaleb Porter was another key player, gaining 129 total yards and a touchdown.
 Mogollon was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 235  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 154  rushing yards in nine consecutive  games.
 Mogollon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Tysen Franco.
 When it comes to explaining why Superior lost, don't look at  James Henriquez. Despite the final result, he picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of  Antonio Lopez, who threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns.
 Mogollon's win was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Superior, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 5-5.
 Mogollon will take on Bagdad at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Bagdad will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  victory, something Mogollon surely won't give up without a fight. Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
