Baseball Recap: Kingsway Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Kingsway barely beat Vineland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons put the hurt on the Fighting Clan with a sharp 12-1 victory on Tuesday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Kevin Magsam tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kyle Shields, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Dylan Rickards was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

The win was the sixth in a row for Kingsway, bringing their record up to 17-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Vineland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingsway will host Delsea at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vineland, they will welcome Egg Harbor Township at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
