Football Recap: Mater Dei Catholic Comes Up Short on the Road Against Cathedral Catholic

Mater Dei Catholic kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Cathedral Catholic Dons, falling 52-7. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Dons are ranked 20th).

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mater Dei Catholic will square off against Granite Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cathedral Catholic, they will face off against Saint Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
