Volleyball Recap: Making Waves Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Making Waves Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the California School for the Deaf Eagles 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Marlins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-11.

Making Waves Academy's offense was headlined by Joshua Huezo and Sebastian Marquez, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Leonardo Mendoza and his 11 assists. Justin Guillen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Making Waves Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for California School for the Deaf, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Making Waves Academy will be playing at home against Fremont Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for California School for the Deaf, they are taking a road trip to take on Cornerstone Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
