Recap: Williams Vikings vs. San Pasqual Valley Warriors

There's no place like home for the Williams Vikings, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-39 win over San Pasqual Valley on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Williams also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2018.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Williams to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kai Mortensen , who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds. The matchup was Mortensen 's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydyn Larimore, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.

Williams now has a winning record of 8-7. As for San Pasqual Valley, they bumped their record down to 6-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bourgade Catholic at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th. San Pasqual Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Luis at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
