Basketball Recap: Neveah Farris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central School over Faith Training Christian Academy

Central School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 35-22 to Faith Training Christian Academy. The Pioneers were probably out for revenge after losing 30-27 to them when the teams met back in November of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Neveah Farris, who posted eight points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Lilly Averett, who had six points and seven rebounds.

Central School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Central School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-15 win against Varsity Opponent on the 10th. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against John Paul the Great Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Faith Training Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so John Paul the Great Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
