Soccer Recap: Woodlawn Comes Up Short

Woodlawn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wenonah Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Wenonah this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss back in March.

Woodlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Wenonah, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-8-1 record.

Looking ahead, Woodlawn will host Bessemer City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wenonah, they will head out to take on Parker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
