Preview: Mountain Home Bombers vs. Greenwood Bulldogs

Mountain Home is 0-6 against Greenwood since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mountain Home Bombers will be staying on the road to face off against the Greenwood Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mountain Home had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past Catholic with a 21-16 win.

Mountain Home got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Hubbard out in front who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown. Hubbard has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. Mountain Home also got help from jett hanaford who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Greenwood put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Little Rock Christian Academy 56-39. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

Greenwood found their leader in underclassman Kane Archer, who rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 281 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. Archer has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Brayedan Davis also helped out as he racked up 121 rushing yards.

Mountain Home has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Greenwood, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

Mountain Home was dealt a bruising 55-7 loss at the hands of Greenwood in their previous matchup back in September. Can Mountain Home avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
