If Thunderbird was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Eastmark last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell 3-1 to the Salpointe Catholic Lancers on Friday. The Titans' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 17-25, 25-13.

Samuel Ashcraft paced Thunderbird's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ashcraft got some help from Owen StClair and his 22 assists. Ethan Schlesinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Thunderbird's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Salpointe Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.

Thunderbird does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salpointe Catholic, they will take on Deer Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Skyhawks will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
