Softball Recap: Kearny Comes Up Short

Kearny lost against Clifton back in April of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kardinals fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Kardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kearny's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Clifton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kearny will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Caldwell at 4:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for Clifton, they will square off against Passaic County Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
