Basketball Recap: Northern Valley Comes Up Short

Northern Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Logan/Palco and fell 73-15. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-12.

Tait Thalheim was Northern Valley's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Owen Hammond held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Rhett Kats continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Logan/Palco, going 13 for 17 on his way to 29 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Kats' evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Prewo, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

Northern Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Logan/Palco, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Valley will take on Stockton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Logan/Palco has already played their next matchup (against Rawlins County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
