Preview: Military Magnet Academy Eagles vs. Baptist Hill Bobcats
The Military Magnet Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Baptist Hill Bobcats at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Military Magnet Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Baptist Hill will be coming in after a loss.
Even though St. John's scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Military Magnet Academy still came out on top. Military Magnet Academy took their contest against St. John's 69-57.
Meanwhile, Baptist Hill came up short against Burke on Tuesday and fell 56-45. Baptist Hill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Baptist Hill got a solid performance out of Jaden Douglas, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. Douglas hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for four straight games. Harold Gathers was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Military Magnet Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season. As for Baptist Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
Military Magnet Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Baptist Hill in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 60-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Military Magnet Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
