Softball Recap: Batavia Comes Up Short

Batavia lost to Waubonsie Valley back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2.

Batavia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Waubonsie Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Batavia will face off against Naperville North at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Waubonsie Valley, they will challenge Neuqua Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
