Apponequet Regional had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Somerset Berkley Regional Raiders with a sharp 52-27 win. The matchup marked the Lakers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Somerset Berkley Regional's loss came despite strong showings from Makenzie Pires and Skyler Rivers. Pires posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Rivers earned nine points. Rivers is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Apponequet Regional's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apponequet Regional will head out to square off against Case at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, they are taking a road trip to take on West Bridgewater at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
