Central Valley comes up short despite Robbie Singh's dominant performance

Recap: Central Valley Hawks vs. Merced Bears

The Central Valley Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 75-46 loss at the hands of Merced. While losing is never fun, Central Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1111th, while Merced is ranked 513th).

Despite the loss, Central Valley still got an impressive performance from Robbie Singh, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sahibjot Deal, who scored seven points.

Central Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Merced, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Valley will challenge Atwater at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Merced, they will head out on the road to face off against Patterson at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Patterson will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
