Volleyball Recap: Olympia Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Olympia lost against Warrensburg-Latham back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Olympia was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Warrensburg-Latham work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-13.

Despite the loss, Olympia still got an impressive performance from Kinley Steinkamp, who had 19 assists and 14 digs. Steinkamp has been hot, having posted 17 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Among those leading the charge was Delaneigh Garner, who had 19 digs.

Olympia's defeat dropped their record down to 17-17. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season.

Olympia and Warrensburg-Latham are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Spartans will square off against Paxton-Buckley-Loda at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they will host Maroa-Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
